Although many Bostonians will be fleeing the city in favor of Nantucket, The Cape or the Vineyard, there are still plenty of activities for those of you
who will be sticking around this holiday weekend.
Massachusetts Military Heroes Garden of Flags

Start your long weekend off with a visit to the Garden of Flags at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Boston Common. The Massachusetts Military Heroes
Organization plants flags in honor of each Massachusetts service member who has lost their life serving our country since the Revolutionary War. This
garden is a testament to the strength of the Boston Community and to the meaning of Memorial Day. The flags were planted starting on Wednesday May
24th and will remain in the Common until sunset on May 29th.

Boston’s signature music festival is coming this weekend! Check out all of the performers at the Harvard University Athletic Complex, a location change
from City Hall Plaza, the original site of the festival which began in 2013. The location change comes as a result of expanding the programming to
provide a better experience for concert goers. This year’s headliners include, Chance The Rapper, Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons, The 1975, Tool, Major
Lazer and Weezer. Another new addition this year includes the comedy experience section of the festival. The lineup will include headliner Hannibal
Buress, along with Mass native Eugene Mirman, from Bob’s Burgers, Tig notaro, from Inside Amy Schumer and One Mississippi, and Pete Holmes, from HBO’s
Crashing. The Festival kicks off on Friday, May 26th and wraps up on Sunday May 28th. Hit the festival for all three days or just for an afternoon
to enjoy, music, comedy, and food and drink from fan favorites like, Tasty Burger, FoMu, Roxy’s Grilled cheese and many more!
Hit Up Fenway for a Red Sox Game

The Sox will be at home all weekend hosting the Seattle Mariners. Grab some friends, throw on your favorite Sox gear and head out to Yawkey Way for a few
cold ones and some classic Fenway Franks. There are games Friday at 7:10 pm, Saturday at 4:05 pm, and Sunday at 1:35pm.
Browse the Exhibits at the Museum of Fine Arts

The Museum of Fine arts will be offering free admission Monday from 10am to 5pm. The Museum will be hosting art-making activities, gallery tours, music
and films throughout the day. From 11:30-1 pm there will be a screening of Orchestra of Exiles, “the suspenseful chronicle of how one man helped to
save Europe’s premiere Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis during World War II.” At noon there will be a musical performance from Sociedad
Latina’s Youth Artists Mastery Group, and throughout the day they will have various artsy activities along with tours running from 10:30 to 3 pm.
See a Show!
Although many of the theaters will be closed on Monday, there is no shortage of entertainment opportunities the rest of the weekend. Check out a Blue
Man Group show if you are in the mood for a laugh, they have shows at the Charles Playhouse Friday (4:30pm and 7:30pm), Saturday (2, 5, and 8pm),
and Sunday (2 and 5pm). If the Blue Man Group isn’t up your alley then check out the final nights of The Sleeping Beauty at the Boston Opera House,
with shows Thursday and Saturday at 7:30pm, or the opening night of Mamma Mia! At the Boston Opera House on Tuesday May 30th at 7:30pm. If you
fancy some free entertainment then head over to Faneuil Hall where there are always countless street performers!

Boston’s Back Bay is known for it’s shopping, and this weekend you can stock up on apparel from all of your favorite spots at a discount. Check out
the Prudential Center, Copley Place and the shops along Boylston and Newbury for a mix of high end stores, international designers, and local shops.
