Washington Square
OVERVIEW
Known for the multitude of shops and restaurants, Washington Square is a lively Brookline neighborhood featuring attractive brownstone buildings, which line both sides of Beacon Street and its side streets. Stepping away from the main thoroughfare, beautiful single family homes inhabit the surrounding streets. If you are looking for some spectacular views of the Boston Skyline, there are a few popular parks atop the hills that residents enjoy.
Location
Washington Square is situated at the bottom of two of Brookline’s largest hills: Aspinwall and Corey Hill. At the intersection of Beacon Street and Washington Street, it marks one of the central commercial cores of Brookline, with Coolidge Corner to the East, Brookline Village and Pill Hill to the Southeast, and Fisher Hill to the West.
