Have you been to Black Rose?? No, not the Irish pub downtown – the new bakery in Back Bay!
A MetroWest staple, this delectable cafe has softly opened their doors in a gorgeous garden-level space located at 303 Newbury Street. The spot is tastefully designed with expansive seating both indoors & out. Their menu will grow from their staple cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee to feature espresso & more. I could not resist taking home some sweet treats – their two best sellers – a mini key lime pastry & tiramisu cake slice, as well as a mini red velvet & full size chocolate peanut butter cupcake!
So, If you are an Upper Back Bay resident looking for more café choices, then you have to check it out. I know, I know, we have some good selections in the area, but I am always seeking MORE.
Café Sauvage is always a lovely choice, but if you’re looking for a good latte between the hours of 3:00 PM & 5:00 PM, forget it!
Pavement, it’s great, for a bagel in the morning, but doesn’t have the widest array of options aside from a quick breakfast.
A true bakery in nature, this place features a plethora of sweet treats, coffee, and sandwiches. I certainly cannot wait to watch this place become a neighborhood staple!
